To tell a story about "us" or about "Autographics" one has to tell the story of one man, Roger Pfaff.
Roger has always been a resident of the Northwest, having been born and raised in the Seattle area. He grew up in Magnolia and went to Queen Anne High School.
Autographics started out in the back of a Datsun pick-up truck with Roger going from car dealership to car dealership doing custom striping and molding on new and used vehicles. The demand for his excellent work became so much that a home base was needed and employees came soon after.
In 1980, Roger expanded his knowledge to signage by taking classes in hand-cutting vinyl for vehicle graphics as well as regular signage (yes...this was before the machines came along).
Autographics then entered into the signage arena. In the next year, Autographics was one of the first sign shops in the Nothwest to use a vinyl plotting machine to cut its graphics. Since then, Autographics has grown by leaps and bounds and has been a greater Northwest fixture in the sign industry for the past 31 years.
We have gone from a one guy hand-cutting vinyl shop to a one machine cutting shop to where we are today. Autographics has two large-format vinyl plotters, a large-format full color printer, a thermal decal printer, a CNC router, a large-format laminator, a full machine shop, three 4' x 24' sign assembly tables and six computer design stations, all housed in a 5500 sq. ft. two truck bays facility. We have been at this location for the last 21 years and we love it here.
Roger's daughter, Marguerite, and son, Anton, now in their teens, can often be found at the shop during school vacations. Be sure to stop in and say "Hello!"
